I do love clouds, how they look so dense and full but are really made of water particlest floating up in the air. Now I've put together a little for the rest of you cloud enthusiasts and your fridges.
You will need~
- Air dry clay
- Something pointy
- A glue gun
- Magnets
- White gloss acrylic paint
- Brushes
- (Optional) stamps, felt & safety pins
First take a ball of clay larger than a marble and flatten it into an oval shape.
Use a pointy object (I used a small knitting needle) to drag from the edges into the centre to create a scalloped edge. Then smooth any bumps on the surface.
Leave the clouds to dry for about 24hours (or until you know they're dry).
I stamped words into some of my clouds to make them a bit unique.
Once they're dry, coat the top side of the clouds in gloss white paint.
After the paint drys, use hot glue to attach magnets to the back side.
If you'd like you can make badges by cutting a piece of felt and hot glueing the edges to a cloud with a safety pin sandwiched between the two surfaces.
Then they're done! I love the way messages look hanging on the fridge pinned up by floating clouds.
If you make any clouds I'd love to see them.
xx
