This post was originally titled 'Introducing Me'. It was a list of personal facts with a promise of more to come. Polished and rearing to go, instead sitting hidden in a sea of browsing tabs for days- there was nothing wrong with my first post but I couldn't bring myself to hit publish. The idea terrified me.
I'm not in any way afraid of commitment, I embrace it; beginning projects all over the shot, signing up for whatever's going. Sometimes though, life's a little overwhelming- could I be sure I was ready to add blogging to the list of ever expanding demands on my limited time? To be sure of the answer I had to look at my reasons to even contemplate this endeavour.
Why? The first question to greet me when I would explain my plan, and I had to think- Why did I want to post about me online? Well, not to be corny but I realised the internet is a place where people with idea's get things done. Where like minds collaborate. Where mass cultural shifts are born. Me, I want to be part of the action. I want to be part of a community where one person says "I have this crazy plan." and a hundred more say "Let's do it."
So instead of 20 random tidbits about me, you've got an analysis of my reasons for embarking on this journey into the blogging community- and I hope you'll want to come along for the ride!
(I plan to post at least once I week mostly about art and DIYs but possibly anything else that takes my fancy =)
