Winter Tag

I was tagged by the wonderful Daisy from Little Kawaii Daisy (thank you!) so you can all go and check out her adorable blog.

Since I'm Australian it's actually Summer right now so that makes this both Winter and Christmas themed- just a heads-up.

Rules:
1.Thank the person who tagged you. (Link to their blog!)
2. Tell your top 5 favorite things about winter.
3. Answer the person who tagged you's questions about winter.
4. Ask 5 questions about winter for the people you tagged to answer.
5. Tag 3 or more people!

My *favourite* (yup I'm going all out Aussie) things about Winter:

1. Winter Clothes

I just love bright coloured coats, patterned socks and homemade scarves- I also love all the sneakers and boots selling in stores unlike in Summer, I'm not really a strappy sandals and heels type.

2. Less Sweat

I love arriving at school dry and fresh smelling, I don't tend to feel the cold either so it just makes the day a pleasant temperature! Also it's way less humid and where I live that makes a BIG difference.

3. Tea

I love tea all year round but it just seems more special when "The weather outside is frightful..." also there are limited edition winter flavours to look forward to all spicy and toasted rather than fruity and sweet like in summer. I reckon cinnamon orange is still my all time favourite.

4. Rain

Winter weather is colder and bleaker which makes it so perfect for watching through your window while remaining warm and dry. Summer rain is warm and heavy, dancing-in-puddles kind of weather rather than the eat-soup-and-read-books style.

5. Pumpkins

I love pumpkin. I have to admit- I chose the yellow dye labelled "pumpkin" out of about 12 different shades simply because of its name. I love pumpkin soup, pumpkin scones, pumpkin shampoo and crochet pumpkins (which I've realised is an adorable idea).

Questions:

1. Do you celebrate any holidays in the winter?

Nope! We have school holidays and I think sometimes a public holiday or two but nothing with fancy terminology and traditions!

2. What is your favorite holiday candle scent?

Cinnamon and vanilla or something pumpkin-y, perhaps my all time favourite is yet to be invented!

3. Gingerbread or sugar cookies?

Sugar cookies taste better but gingerbread is so festive and I've made a couple of houses in my time, so it wins this round.

4. Favorite Christmas movie?

Hmm... I used to have this Wiggles tape with Christmas carols and the nativity, I watched it EVERY YEAR while we put up the tree... not really a movie but I think it passes!

5. What do you hope to receive this year?'

Given that I've been on a bit of a blogging break, Christmas has passed but I received the drawing tablet, Frankie subscription and giant inflatable donut I really wanted!

My Questions:

Norther Hemisphere or Southern Hemisphere?
Favourite Winter weather?
Favourite Winter clothing?
What happens during winter where you live (weather, holidays, festivals etc.)?
Cinnamon or Ginger spice?

I don't think it's quite the right time of year to pass the tag on, so type your answers to my questions in the comments! Hopefully I manage to get three answers...

xx
