Welcome back to another "Saturday post that I put quite a bit of effort into". I saw some bone bracelets and I thought they looked really cool so here's my version!
You will need~
- A bit less than half a block of Fimo or other polymer clay
- A needle or pin or possibly a toothpick
- Elastic
To make the "in betweener" beads, roll 7 little balls about 1cm in diameter, then poke a needle or toothpick though their centres (the hole will shrink in the oven so make it bigger than you need).
For the bones, take a ball of clay about twice as big, role into a log and use a needle/toothpick to split the ends. Role the split ends into long tubes and then squish them down to make the knobbly bits of the bone. Make any finishing touches with your fingers, then put a hole though it as well. Make about 7 depending on the size of your wrist.
Bake in the oven according to the directions, then thread with elastic!
I think pastel colours would look divine or a bone colour could be really halloween-y, especially with some red nail polish blood drips!
What are you currently crafting?
xx
What a cute idea! It looks lovely. :)
